Hello everyone,
I’m afraid I don’t have very good news for those of you who were hoping for a release date on The Emerald Shadow. I have received the first round of edits and plan on starting them very soon but a lot has been happening outside of publishing that has been making keeping on schedule very difficult.
I said in a premature social media post that The Emerald Shadow could be expected by December of 2025 which was originally the target. However looking at setbacks the project had, the edits i have to do, plus the second round still to come, I can’t commit to that date anymore. Partly it is real life stuff, my brother is getting married which is wonderful but it means that a large chunk of October my mind will be elsewhere. Shadow is not going to make December, nor is VCW I’m afraid, I don’t know where I got the idea I’d be able to put that out so quickly, not with Shadow being the absolute beast that it is. But I am certain that Shadow will be worth the wait, and if you can’t wait there will be preview chapters coming up soon!
A piece of good news I have is that I myself have officially become an editor. After several long months I finished editing my friend Alex Trevino’s third book In the Shadow of Saturn. An extremely ambitious novel that uses the first two Sirens of Agartha books as a springboard into a wild sword and planet adventure in the vain of A Princess of Mars and A Tarnsman of Gor. This is something I can’t wait to share with you. I’m very passionate about Sirens of Agartha as a series, I’m the one who encouraged its creation in the first place so being an integral part of the process is very exciting for me and I hope those of you who haven’t read the series will jump on for this one.
Thanks for reading and as always you can find my books on Amazon and Audible. I appreciate your support!
All the best,
William Hastings
